nicnicd says: So, here we go again with me and my insane love for unique AU’s. Ars Moriendi by vanilladoubleshot is so different from anything I’ve come across and I am completely captivated by it. Now, it’s sad, truly heart-breaking, but so beautifully done that I don’t mind the tears the author can inspire in me with just a few simple words.

I found vanilladoublesot through some fantastic one shots and was blown away by her writing. And from the very first few lines of her WIP, I was so keyed into this story. Really, it’s ridiculous how good this fic is.

The story jumps from past to present seamlessly, giving you just enough in each chapter to leave you begging for more, but dreading it at the same time. Your heart breaks for these two lovely teenagers who are pulled apart much too soon.

Playing up Edward’s incubus status from the books in a totally original way, the story moves through pain and loss, falling in love and losing said love right from the start. Edward is attracted to Bella’s scent in a completely different way than I’ve seen, and it’s marvelous.
