It’s made achingly poignant by the fact that it is based on the actual real life experiences of the young author. The story follows the path of high school aged Bella and Edward who get acquainted when she consents to do his family an ongoing favor. His mom and dad’s scheduling conflicts have her hesitantly agreeing to drive him to school while he recovers from a mystery illness that caused him seizures in the recent past.
Outgoing Bella slowly draws shy, sickly Edward from his shell by including him at lunch time with the gang. Before she knows it she has fallen hard even though the future is uncertain for him health wise; especially when he suffers a sudden relapse. This story moved me alternately from tears to cheering to tears again with an unexpected (for me anyway) ending .
ItIsRaining is an extremely talented writer who has turned her pain into something so beautiful while employing a secret weapon at the end to create a brilliant tale of true love that defies the odds.
