Official Description:
Edward and Bella meet at a summer barbeque. A story about – what else – falling for someone, hard. Once a WitFit.
Word Count: 32,400
I’m here to recommend an amazing story from an amazing author: Air by Rochelle Allison.
If you haven’t taken the opportunity to read one of her tales about Bella and Edward you don’t know what you are missing. Rochelle is a very gifted and prolific author. Her own assessment of this story is so true; it satisfies the sweet tooth.
This delightfully sweet tale of Bella and Edward is woven in such a way that her dedicated fans who follow faithfully say:
[dcs_p]Jenny Window: I’ve been trying to analyse why I love your writing so much. It’s very difficult to identify the reasons why words on a screen give rise to an emotional response, but I think the following passage is a good example of why your stories really appeal to me:[/dcs_p]
[dcs_p]“He looked at me, and his expression was different.
Accessible.
And everyone began to walk, stumbling and happy and summertime-free, Rose riding by in loops, her bicycle glinting in the moonlight.
He and I didn’t talk, then. We just walked. And looked at each other sometimes.
And smiled, sometimes.
I wanted to touch him. I couldn’t wait.”[/dcs_p]
[dcs_p]Your words just bring this scene to life. I can see them, I can feel the spark between Edward and Bella – the anxiety and excitement. It’s all perfectly captured in a few brief sentences. No unnecessary embellishment, yet you create this wonderful atmosphere I can only describe as dreamy.[/dcs_p]
[dcs_p]I don’t think you’ve written an Edward that I didn’t immediately fall in love with but Taciturn Edward is a particular favorite. “You gonna let me?” Oh, you bet, baby.[/dcs_p]
[dcs_p]Thanks for sharing another wonderful story.[/dcs_p]
[dcs_p]bella c’ella luna: dear rochelle allison,[/dcs_p]
[dcs_p]i think i am in love with you. you are my new favorite author. i read starry eyed last night (i was sleepy and supposed to go to bed early…i decided a couple of chapters of fanfic were just what i needed to put me under – but no! i was up for hours reading!).[/dcs_p]
[dcs_p]thank you for writing
[/dcs_p]
Bina3: Just perfect. I wanted to review each chapter but that would mean that I’d have to interrupt my reading (so unpleasant). Loved the characters. Your style is so likable because your characters are flawed…real. I hope you write for many moons to come. Reading your stories is such fun.
Personally, Air has to be one of my favorite Edward and Bella pairings. Just so relaxed and understated in a perfect way. Thanks Rochelle for re-posting this story for those of us who didn’t catch it the first time around. I Absolutely love your writing style.
Rochelle puts you in the middle of her characters lives. Through her eloquent words you can feel their thoughts and desires. She tugs on your emotions with such force that you can’t help but send her your comments. She is a committed author that tries to respond to as many readers as possible. It feels great to make that connection with her and find out the inner workings of her talented mind.
I hope you take the time to delve into this story. I’m sure you’ll become a Rochelle fan just like me!
I’ve never read anything by Ro that didn’t leave me giddysqueeing with excitement when it was all said and done. She’s a phenomenal writer and tells a great story–every single time.
Air is no different. From her treasure trove of witfits, she posted this story on its own. I love it because, though it’s a fairly short story, it has character growth and a great storyline. I also love it because it’s sizzling hot:
[dcs_p]“I like being with you. I like having you in my house, I like looking at you. And yeah, I like being inside you. But sometimes, it’s just not what I’m thinking about. And sometimes you don’t even look like you want it.”[/dcs_p]
[dcs_p]“I do want it,” I said quietly, my heart hammering because he was so ruggedly handsome, so gorgeous and almost too big for my room. I was afraid he’d disappear. He’s imperfect, and he’s always late. And it annoys me. And I’m so attracted to him in ways that scare me because they’re so intense, so strong. “I want you… all the time.”[/dcs_p]
[dcs_p]He stood up, pulling me to my feet. “I have to go. I’ll be late if I don’t. But if you want it, then next time… take it.”[/dcs_p]
[dcs_p]He snarled his fingers into my knotty morning hair, bringing my face to his so he could kiss me. “Take it,” he whispered against my mouth and I swear to God I felt it in my panties.[/dcs_p]
Yeah. Me too.
This story has an older (by ten years) Edward with a college-age Bella. The supporting cast is fun, too. At the risk of too much cheese, trust me when I say that Air is a story that you want to breathe in right away.
