Be Like Water is a Paul/Bella imprint story that starts in the middle of New Moon. How many of us love reading about the bad boy? Well Paul is the ultimate bad boy. This Paul is aggressive, volatile and passionate. He doesn’t like the fact that he imprinted and is determined to prove he can resist it.

Paul snorted. “Like she gave me one? When in Quileute history has an imprint fucking decked her wolf when they first met? I’m fucked up! Even she could see that.”

What I love about this imprint story is how the author has manages to keep Paul in character throughout the entire story so far. Even when Paul accepts the imprint, he doesn’t turn into a softy in love. If anything, the imprint makes his wolf instincts more dominate and and drive to love and protect his mate is fierce. And I don’t think I can do justice when I say that this story is HOT, but I will try and say that this story is unbelievably HOTT.

“Do I turn you on, little girl?” Paul murmured over her lips in a voice of dark chocolate.

Pride made her deny it with a minute shake of her head.

He sniffed a laugh, cool against her check. “Liar,” he mouthed silently and a slow smile stretched his perfect lips taut.

He moved then and she felt warmth cascade over her cheek in the skipping staccato of his breath. Carefully, slowly, he ghosted his mouth along her jaw and then followed her pulse down her neck. His short hair brushed her cheek and she gasped from the contact. Every nerve was on fire.

A purr vibrated deep in his chest as he drew in a shaky breath at the crook of her neck. “Mine,” he pushed the whispered word huskily along his exhale.

This story is amazing. Taoist Elf is able to write so vividly, its as if I am watching a movie in my head. The pace and plot moves along perfectly and I love that we get lots of pack and inter-workings of their relationships.

When Edward comes back in the story, he’s definitely not canon Edward. I was a bit worried about reading a story with Edward as a bad guy, but I realized that as much as I love Darkward, sometimes it’s not the best for Bella to be with him. I was not bothered in the least that Bella belongs with Paul. The author is able to develop all of these characters and they bring so much to the story. And a special shout out to my Jasper loving girls. This Jasper is yummy to the second degree.

If you have never given this pairing a thought before, it is time to give it a try. Spice up you fic life with Be Like Water.
