I’ll admit it, I fell in love with Windowward chapter one. Who wouldn’t fall in love with a vampire that comes into your room and night and satisfies you in every way, especially the ways your boyfriend cannot? I loved him even more when he smashed Jake’s car with a tree in a jealous rage because a jealous Edward is a hot Edward.
Grasping Darkness by KiyaRaven had me from the get-go. Little did I know she’d keep me hooked for almost two years. Lucky you who read it now that it is complete! You get to see inside both Bella and Edward’s head, and she does a great job with both.
What I loved about this story was that it had so many interesting twists and turns. I don’t often read vamp stories because they don’t always give me something new. Grasping Darkness, on the other hand, manages to put a major spin on things. There’s Jake the were but Bella is not in love with him (thank God), there’s James the psycho vamp but this time he lures Edward into the perfect trap, there’s some death and some “changes” but not the ones you might expect. In fact, what I love about this is it was never what I expected. Oh, and the lemons. Did I forget there are lemons? Come on now, this is KiyaRaven. The woman knows how to write hot lemons.
For example, you get a little of this:
“She moaned and I couldn’t get enough of her sound or her taste. I licked and sucked at her greedily, and her legs locked around my neck as her thighs clenched and released.
The sweet flesh was so smooth, so delicious, pulsing fast and hot with her incredible blood. I growled against her and she moaned my name.

She was close. I wanted her to come like this, perched above me like a Goddess, gripping my head as my tongue brought her pleasure. I enveloped her with my mouth and sucked hard, and then I tried something I’d never done before: I flicked my tongue across her clitoris. Fast.
Vampire fast.”
Oh my dear Lord, how we’d all like to experience something like that vampire fast!
Grasping Darkness is an exciting, sexy, and terrifying ride at times. She balances the darker parts with her fabulous wit and humor. You’ll love Carlisle and the whole Cullen clan. Jessica even gets to go vamp in this one. There is never a boring moment and it ends in the most creative way I have ever seen a vamp story go. Loved it and so will you!
