Into the Woods by CereuleanBlue

Official Description:

Based off Little Red Riding Hood & not your typical Bella/Jacob. Who’s really the big bad wolf? All wolves don’t have fur… Rated M for future lemons.

My first thought upon reading the first chapter of Into the Woods was, “Why did I think of that?!” It seemed obvious in its implications. The werewolf, as a human, enticing the innocent maid away from safety.

CereuleanBlue adds to this myth the Twilight characters we know and love. Rosalie is the soon-to-be mother, Charlie is the protective father, Esme is the midwife and, in fitting with Red Riding Hood, grandmother. The ones I didn’t see coming were Edward as the over-protective fiance and Alice as the maid, given to Isabelle as a gift.

The dynamic between Edouard and Isabelle, particularly pertaining to the mysterious Jacob is very different from Twilight and refreshing. Beyond jealousy, beyond fear, Isabelle doesn’t seem to realize how completely she is caught by each of the men. One will devour her and one will consume her, neither will let the other have her.

The smatterings of French, the medieval, and the various snips of lyric and prose pertaining to Red Riding Hood combine to create a canvas upon which CereuleanBlue paints this wonderful tale. A MUST read.
