I’m taking you all through a time warp with my review. Think back to about two years ago, when a little group of sassy and sexy ladies from the Perv Pack Smut Shack held a little contest called An Officer and a Gentleman. Remember that? Of course you do because the entries were smoking hot, and this little diddy is no different.
MrsAC paints us a beautiful picture of young love, as well as a realistic look at the struggles of being with someone in the military. There isn’t a lot of dialog, but we don’t need it. Bella’s thoughts are enough to pull on your heart strings and take your breath away. The one thing I really loved about this was Bella’s character and just how proud she is of Edward and the man he chose to be, even though its hard on her too. She’s so supportive of him, and he’s so in love with her for it.
I knelt on the bed and pulled him closer to me. I slid my hands up his chest, running my fingers over the airborne wings and EIB tab that were placed above the words U.S. ARMY. My other hand ran over CULLEN which was velcroed onto the left side of his chest. I hooked two fingers into the v in the neck of his uniform, my thumbs tracing his rank. I was so proud of him and everything his uniform stood for but I couldn’t wait to get it off of him.
*whistles* There’s more where that came from, folks.
Oh and did I mention he’s a Daddy-to-be-ward. OMGSWOON.
He lowered his head and ran his nose down the same path his hands had just made, stopping when he reached my belly button. He placed several kisses there and then I felt his lips curve into a smile against my skin. His eyes were focused on the skin there as he placed his hands over it, pulling back slightly.
“Hello baby,” he whispered, kissing the same spot again. “I’m your daddy.”
OMG so sweet. Sigh.

God bless the troops, and I thank them for all that they do and all they go through, as well as their families. Because it’s not just military men and women fighting a battle, it’s their families too.
When I remembered that it was Veterans Day, I knew I wanted to find a soldierward story to rec. So, I immediately went to the PPSS Officer and a Gentleman contest. I had totally forgotten about this famazing story, which makes me feel bad, since it’s written by my BFF. It isn’t favoritism or nepotism or any other kind of -ism that made me rec this to you today, though. Other than its smokinhotandyouhavetoreaditism. This story won “Hottest Serviceward” and there’s a reason for that.
Standing in front of his Troop, his eyes scanned the crowd, looking for me. To anyone else watching, he was standing at attention, perfectly still, but I could tell. Only when I saw one side of his lip curve up a fraction of an inch, did I know that he had spotted me.
Gah! The lip curve gets me every time. Believe me when I say that you want to read this little glimpse into the life of Bella and her Soldierward. It’s sweet and spicy and will leave you wanting more.
