Kassiah says: Meant to Be is a fantastic story that I found on my DILFward dive a few weeks ago. JulieBee is one of the sweetest girls you will ever meet, and it totally shows through in her writing.
In this story, Bella is a high school student who moves in with her father after her mom kicks her out of the house when she finds out she is pregnant. At school, she meets Edward and Alice and becomes fast friends with the entire clan. Of course, she is smitten with Edward right away, but she also knows that it is unrealistic to like a boy in high school when she is “saddled down” with a baby. Edward feels protective of her right from the start, since the other boys call her a slut and falsely talk about hooking up with her.
This story is sweet and fairly realistic. I love that Bella is so maternal, making up for the mom she didn’t have, despite her less-than-optimal circumstances. I also think that Edward’s feelings are authentic. He goes from knowing this girl couldn’t like him to wondering why he would get involved with a girl who has a baby to being drawn to both of them. Even though he doesn’t always seem that way, he is a stand-up guy. This Charlie is one of my favorite Charlies ever, taking care of the baby (Jacob *snicker*) and supporting Bella as much as possible.
Without a doubt, Meant to Be is not a typical ffic hs story. It also isn’t a typical “I Met You and You Have a Kid but I’ll Deal” story. It’s unlike anything that I have read, and I love it. You definitely should check it out!
