If you were to ask me what I like about this story, I could answer your question in one word: EVERYTHING. But that doesn’t really sell it to you does it?
Pure Revelations is unlike any story I’ve read in fanfiction. It is written by two authors. ilovealion writes Epov whilst Georgiaedwardlover writes Bpov, together they are Georgialion. The story unfolds in alternating chapters from each point of view. Don’t be fooled into thinking that because it is written in both POVs that the chapters are repetitive, because that is not the case.
There are lots of very clever twists on canon in this highly intriguing story. For instance, Edward and his family live in an exclusive gated community called LaVerrot Estates, where the residents all practice a unique lifestyle. There are other communities like theirs in different parts of the country, notably Denali in Alaska.
The lifestyle includes following a special diet, the woman seem to do a lot of yoga, the teenagers have all taken a vow of celibacy (much to Edward’s growing annoyance), they cannot have any more than five hours of sun exposure a week, and they are all supplied with the same luxurious beauty products and instructed to take vitamins supplied by Volturi Inc.
At the start of the story we get a little insight into Edward’s life in the community. Like canon Edward, he is less than enamoured with having to live this way and is often cynical in his outlook. I love his internal monologues which are really funny and I have gained a particular fondness for his python. This Edward is funny and sweet and his obsession with Bella is endearing, as is the special bond he has with his twin sister Alice.
Bella’s life is not without difficulties either, and we discover that she is hiding a dark secret from her past.
Bella moves from Phoenix to Seattle when Renee and Phil decide to settle there. I won’t give too much of the plot away, but a series of events occur which results in them living on LaVerrot Estates.
When she arrives in Seattle Bella can’t believe the change in her mother. She now has perfect skin and a fit, toned body which make her look years younger than she did before. She is also more organised and happier than Bella has ever seen her… and she can’t stop extolling the virtues of her new employer Esme Cullen’s lifestyle.
There are many intriguing plot lines within this story: Why are the leaders of the community so set against Rosalie’s relationship with Emmett, who doesn’t live on the Estate? Why do they refer to it as a ‘breach’ when he visits the Hale’s home for Christmas? Are they being watched all the time, or is it merely paranoia?
Both of these extremely talented writers are proving adept at weaving our favourite characters, and nods to canon, into a highly compelling and mysterious plot. It will keep you guessing and make you root for the characters while they try to make sense of what is going on around them. The rich vein of humour in this story will also put a smile on your face.
There is so much more I would love to share with you about this story, but I’d end up littering my review with spoilers. Instead I strongly urge you to read it and find out for yourself what a true gem this story is. At the moment it is flying under the radar but it really deserves a much bigger audience. It is obvious from reading this story how much hard work and love the writers are putting into it, so please leave them some love in return for giving us a truly enjoyable read.
What can I add to the great review from BellaScotia? I really love this story, and my rob I can’t remember a couple that I wanted to finally just get together omg than these two. GeorgiaLion definitely have made a story that is intriguing. Thirty-three chapters and it still feels like we are just getting started!
I love these characters, though, and especially Edward’s inner monologue:

Does she have any idea that she’s driving me so fucking insane that I want to throw her down on the table and make her scream—no, purr—my name?
Does she have any idea that those lips that just purred in my ear make me want to just suck her face off?

I lean over and nuzzle into her curtain of shiny fucking curls to tell her what I want, but, as always, her scent leaves me mute and unable to form a coherent thought.
