So, I’m a sucker for royalty fics. I really love them, and I think you’ll like Royal Encounters. xNimC has the story set up so that Carlisle and Esme are the king and queen, and the other royalty comes from each of the 50 states. Like jedigirl said, Bella and Charlie go to work for the Cullens, who are America’s royalty. While working (mostly as a maid), Bella meets Edward and the pair strike up somewhat of a friendship.

Basically, they can’t stay away from each other. Even after Edward announces his engagement to Lady Tanya.

Don’t worry, though–this isn’t a cheat!fic. Tanya has something on Edward and together, along with Edward’s cousin, Rosalie, they come up with a plan to thwart Tanya.

I like this story because it’s fluffy and Bella has fun inner monologue. She takes clumsiness to the extreme:

[dcs_p]I hear the signal that they are all done eating the first course, and I quickly step forward to recover the prince’s dish…[/dcs_p]

[dcs_p]Except I almost elbow him in the face since I use my right hand instead of my left.[/dcs_p]

[dcs_p]He quickly moves his head back and dodges my elbow, leaving me horrified again.[/dcs_p]

[dcs_p]“Sorry,” I squeak out, and he nods once, curtly, his expression blank.[/dcs_p]

[dcs_p]I take his dish away and hurry into the kitchen, wanting to puke.[/dcs_p]

[dcs_p]I have no time to be any more embarrassed because we have to quickly get the next dish and take it back into the dining room.[/dcs_p]

[dcs_p]I take a deep breath before reentering, and when I walk in the prince is watching me. It makes me nervous and as I approach him I am more anxious than ever.[/dcs_p]

[dcs_p]Don’t screw this up, for the love of God…[/dcs_p]

[dcs_p]That’s when I trip… and spill the entire contents of the dish onto Prince Edward’s lap.

[dcs_p]FUCK![/dcs_p]

[dcs_p]“Fuck!” I cry out loud and the prince hisses as the hot soup or whatever it is drenches the entire front of his pants.[/dcs_p]

[dcs_p]There is some kind of commotion and I don’t know what is going on. All I know is that I have to fix it.[/dcs_p]

[dcs_p]“Oh my God,” I say frantically, grabbing the nearest napkin. “I am so, so sorry!”[/dcs_p]

[dcs_p]I don’t even realize that I am about to try and wipe the front of his pants (where his dick is), until he grabs my wrist.[/dcs_p]
