Throughout all of the Twilight series I never gave much thought to Charlie’s back story, the pain he must have felt when Renee left and took Bella with her. Lillybellis delivers on this back story – thrusting you into the heartache Charlie felt when his wife took his only hope in this world – his daughter. The author gives you glimpses into Charlie’s everyday life as a father, son, husband, and friend. The characterizations and writing are done so well that in my mind this is now considered part of the canon. I know as a fandom we are in love with Edward and like to read about him on his various adventures, but I am telling you this is a quick read and worth every minute spent doing it. It will warm you to Charlie in ways you never expected.
MF’er says: Ah… My girl Lillybellis, she sent me the link for this earlier in the week. I had never thought of Charlie’s side of the stories, of how his life was affected by what happened between he and Renee and by Bella’s marriage to Edward. This one-shot gives us a glimpse into him and it’s so beautifully done, I was laughing one minute and crying the next while reading it. I highly reccomend checking it out!
