I’m always on the lookout for a good one-shot and this one has everything I want in a fluffy one-shot: good plot, good banter, good lemon. yessss.
Bella’s in a photography class and has to take photos of a male and a female–nude. She’s shy and almost drops the class, but best pal Rosalie convinces her to stick with it. She volunteers to model for her. The pictures turn out great, and Emmett agrees to be her male subject. Except, he sends Edward, who has just returned home after four years of med school, in his stead.
A knock on the door startled her out of her thoughts, and she frowned, glaring at the door. “Why the hell are you knocking?” she shouted through the door as she crossed the room. “If you think knocking is going to keep me from yelling at you for being so late, you’re…” Bella gulped, looking up as she threw open the door. “You’re not Emmett.”
Realizing that their friends set them up, Edward basically talks her in to going ahead with the photo shoot, and they both get into it:
Edward may have gotten more comfortable with his nudity as the session went on, but Bella was having a hard time concentrating. It had been easy not to stare when she was photographing Rosalie; Rosalie didn’t have that delicious V to her hips, or such a fantastic curve to her ass. Rosalie didn’t have those long fingers that Bella ached to have touch her, or a jaw line covered in stubble that made her want to lick her lips. Rosalie didn’t have piercing green eyes and sex hair.
When the shoot’s over, Edward helps her move the equipment, and they have a few drinks. I really like how nowforruin gives us insight into their characters without bombarding us with too many details. Their banter is light and realistic. When they finally touch, it’s on:
“Trying to get me naked for a second time?” he asked playfully as his shirt dropped to the floor.
“Maybe,” she answered breathlessly.
