I started reading “Turning Tables” right after jtmd24 finished up her very funny and popular “The Vagina Monologues”. I was dying to read more of her amazing words. I was pleased to see that she was trying a different genre. She had certainly proved that she could write humor. Now, it was a chance to write something serious and I was immediately intrigued by the story title as I am a huge Adele fan. jtmd24 made each chapter title either a song title or line from an Adele song. Not an easy feat!

Within the first few paragraphs I was totally sucked in.

“She glanced back and forth between them and smiled, thinking about how she was never lucky enough to have one, let alone two hot guys looking at her.

She’d always think back to that moment over the coming years and wonder what would have happened if things had been different. If only one of them had come into the coffee shop that day or if she had said no to that first date.

Her life would be forever changed as soon they sat down next to her, and she would need to remind herself over and over that it happened exactly how it was meant to.

She would never give up having these two men in her life no matter what happened or how much she had to compromise her feelings or lock her thoughts away in a secret compartment in her heart. They were her life, her best friends and her family.

But if you were given the chance to go back, to turn the tables…would you?”

Throughout the story we are taken on a journey of secrets and lies, twists and turns, discoveries and betrayals; and, eventually forgiveness. Without giving away any of the amazing mysteries and cliffhangers that abound within this story, jtmd24 is able to transport us to a corrupt foreign country and throw us in the middle of so much chaos that your head will spin.

Her characters draw you in from the very beginning and make you laugh a little and cry a lot. I found myself yelling at the computer at times when their antics got so frustrating. But, in the end, you will fall in love with this Edward and Bella when they finally come to terms with their pasts.

You guise. I don’t even know how to express how much I love this story. This was one of the ones that I would drop everything to read the updates. The drama! The love! It’s soooo good. If you were a fan of Alias (Vaughn 4eva), then this is a must-read. Check it out.
