Mozzer0906 says: This was the second entry into the Friday Free-For-All series on Twilighted, organized by ninapolitan. Starfish422 weaves a pre-Twilight AU that begins at Carlisle’s change of Edward and ends with Jasper joining the two of them. This one shot told from Carlisle’s perspective is pure poetry. One of the most enjoyable facets of this fic for me was how well the emotion of Edward and Jasper was portrayed through Carlisle’s thoughts. I felt like I was missing nothing from only getting Carlisle’s perspective. The sex scene is among the finest she has ever written – which if you have read Over the Top you know this is really saying something. It is the final paragraph that sticks out in my memory as one of the most beautiful paragraphs I’ve ever read. It conveys so much love and connection in just a few sentences. I have asked the author on several occasions to turn this into a multi-chapter fic; so if you enjoy it, please show her some love and perhaps we will get more of these boys in the future.
MF’er says: Mozz sent me the rec for this from the author of one of our shared favorites, Over The Top. starfish422 gives us this beautiful start to what could potentially (hopefully?) be a fantastic full-length fic in the future (please?)… As with all of her writing the descriptions are beautiful and it’s easy to feel the love between these characters from the first paragraph all the way until the last. The canon influence, coupled with the poly twist makes this one so easy to love, go check it out and add it to your alerts.
