Finding My Place is one of those stories that instantly captures your heart, and stays with you. I’ve lost count of how many stories, both multi-chaptered and o/s, that I’ve read. What I can count, is the stories that I’ve read over and over again, the ones that never get old and continue to make me smile. This definitely falls into the latter category.
The Bella in this o/s is so normal, for lack of a better word. I don’t know one person who hasn’t felt like her at some point. She’s not unhappy, but not happy either. She doesn’t really feel like she belongs anywhere.
When the Cullen’s move to town, at first nothing is different in Bella’s life. Until one night a surprise encounter changes everything.
I was lying so close to Edward that I could feel the heat coming off of him, even through the layers of his thin coat and mine, and the goosebumps that had appeared on my flesh when he’d first lain down had not dissipated yet.
As we lay there listening to the music, exchanging looks every now and then, the evening passed us by, and for the first time since moving here, I didn’t feel so alone.
The way this relationship builds in such a short time is nothing short of perfection. antiaol’s writing has a way of transporting you into the story. Not only does this do that, it also leaves you reminiscing about the time in your life when every touch, and every look was new.
I didn’t expect how everything seemed to slow, how his movements against my hand seemed to electrify, erupting goosebumps on my skin. I didn’t expect to feel his breath in my face, sweet and minty from the gum he’d been chewing. I didn’t expect him to whisper my name before his lips touched mine, and I most certainly didn’t expect to have my breath stolen from me as soon as my mouth came in contact with another.
I also didn’t expect my reaction to it, my fingers releasing from his as they immediately went to his neck, attaching him to me as his hands went around my waist. As our lips learned each other he turned and rolled us, pulling me to lay flat on top of him, my hands still lost in his hair.
If I could have copy and pasted every line into this rec, I would have. I just couldn’t ruin the ending for those of you who haven’t read it. Without a doubt it will leave you with an awwwww feeling. If you haven’t already, click that link at the top and read it now. You don’t want to miss out.
