Footprints in the Snow by cosmogirl7481

Official Description:

“An hour from now, when the snow falls again, it will be like we weren’t even there. But we will remember.” A story of unrequited love, and how the things we keep silent can hurt us and the ones we hold closest. E/B Rated M for themes of an adult nature.

Word Count: 39,645

I don’t usually read many WIP’s but her penname drew me in completely. The first thing I did each morning was to read the update. Lucky for you, it is now complete with 17 chapters. Cosmogirl7481 has such a gifted way with words. She borrows the everyday, cookie cutter Twilight storyline and characters then weaves a distinctive plot with character personalities that are unique, yet diverse and timeless to create an inimitable novella that captures you heart and soul. “Footprints In The Snow” is magnetic and captivating. Definitely a story that I will read again and again.

A Bella and Edward love story where they never tell of their love for one another. The story begins with their yearly Christmas reunion.

Bella:

“I shivered as I looked out over the side of the mountain. It was covered in snow; perfect and white and just as beautiful as it had been every time I’d come here for the last nine years. Alice, Rosalie, Jasper, Emmett and Edward. Maybe the same blood didn’t run through our veins, but they were more important than any blood. Like I said, they were my family. As I continued the long drive up the mountain, I couldn’t help but think about how we’d all come together over fifteen years ago.”

I experienced so many emotions while reading this epic fic. I laughed with happiness at the sweetness and love in the story; cried at the self-imposed distance between Edward and Bella; and, at times, frankly became aggravated and so mad at the two that all I wanted to do was knock their heads together until they talked openly and opened their hearts.

I enjoyed each and every chapter of this fic but the Epilogue is my favorite. Cosmogirl7481 brings everything full-circle. Don’t expect the normal epilogue though. This one is quite different and is the perfect ending for her story.

I don’t want to reveal too much of the story. Read and discover how they come to terms with each other and their love. You won’t regret a moment spent reading. Cosmogirl7481 put so much feeling into the story. Also, take the time to read her other fics. They are wonderful.

Bella has a secret. But how long can she really keep it in the closet? A sexy little story with humor and drama. ExB, AH, and OOC. Rated M dirty language and content of a sexual nature.

Word Count: 19,347

Kass told me to read this one, and as usual, she always knows just what I like. It’s perfect, so fucking perfect. Like ‘give me a minute to take a cold shower, and cool down’ perfect.

If you’re looking for a smooth talking Edward, an Edward that will make you giggle, flush, and wish he was yours to keep, look no further.

“I like your hair down,” he whispers, reaching behind me and locking the door. “And since I can’t see it spread across my pillow,” he continues, reaching up and grabbing it at the nape of my neck, “I’ll have to settle for feeling it between my fingers.”

And I whimper.

His words make me fucking whimper.

Oh, Bella. His words make me whimper too.

And what about this?

I can’t help but notice Edward is writing something on the pad. I look up at him, and he smiles.

It’s almost sweet, playful. And then he looks back down at the pad. Following his eyes, I look at the pad. And there in relatively big, block letters are the words, “I CAN STILL TASTE YOUR PUSSY ON MY TONGUE.”

I can’t help the small gasp that escapes my lips, and I lift my eyes to meet his. And he is fucking smirking. His eyes are teasing, and I wonder if he can see the flush on my face. And even more than that, I wonder if I’m flushing from anger or arousal. It pisses me off that I know that it’s both.

He looks down and writes something else. And even though I know I shouldn’t – even though I know I should be furious for what he’s already written on that piece of paper – I look. I can’t help it.

“YOU’RE FUCKING DELICIOUS.”

My eyes widen, and my whole body warms…tingles. I feel a rush of wetness between my legs, and I curse myself for letting him affect me this way. At work. In front of my boss. Looking over at him, I mouth the words, “Fuck you.”

And without missing a beat, he mouths back, “Please.”

Dies.

Each chapter just gets better and better. The last chapter? Yeah. *swoons*
You with out a doubt want to read this one. It’s sexy, funny, sweet, and like I said at the beginning, perfect. You’ll be able to read it quickly, you’ll fall in love with them, and then you’ll want to read it again.

Trust me.

GOD. I don’t know what else to say about this, other than you’re seriously, seriously missing out if you don’t read it. It’s hot. It’s sweet. It’s angsty. It’s funny. It’s dramatic. It’s unexpected. It’s swoonworthy.

You might start reading this story, thinking it’s like any other officesque fic cliche, but you’d be wrong. Oh, there’s fucking in the supply closet. There’s the anxiety over what would happen if they get caught. There’s the drama of one of them trying to call it off. But there’s also sweetness and vulnerability that is displayed by both of their characters that surprised me.

“You will let me in,” he says. “I will stand out here all night if I have to. I’ll fucking pound on your door until you open it. Now open the door, Bella. Please.

One of the things that I love the most about this fic, besides how fucking HOT it is, is that this Edward doesn’t take Bella’s shit. She might want to play the victim for a brief moment, but he doesn’t let her.

I love that.

I also love what happens in Carlisle’s office. Both times.

I cannot say enough about this. It’s a quick read, and it’s amazing. You really have to read it. xo

Solstice by cosmogirl7481

Official Description:

Life changes…just like the seasons. Bella finds herself coming out of an ending and into a beginning. Still hurt and emotionally withdrawn. Can someone new help her embrace the change in her life? Can her broken heart find love again? E/B Rated M.

I’m sure we can all agree that while many fics are silver, and several are gold, there are only a few that are platinum.

Solstice, by Cosmogirl7481, shines with that platinum distinction.

If you’re familiar with Cosmo’s stories, you’ll understand why I expected this new one to be a glorious cock party, but I was amazed (and delighted) to find that it was something even better:

Real.

That’s right, real, which is to say that if you’ve experienced heartbreak of any kind you’ll completely relate to Solstice’s story.

In chapter one we meet Bella who recently experienced the shattering pain of divorce and, at the suggestion of her counselor, reluctantly attends group therapy…

“A chill covers me, so I put on my grey knit sweater. It’s baggy and unattractive, but immediately I feel warmer…safer. I love the way it smells – a mixture of Downy and my perfume. I breathe in deeply, fucking thankful that he didn’t buy it for me. The sweater or the perfume. I shouldn’t have worn flip-flops because my feet are going to be cold. The thermostat in this place must be jacked down to sixty. They’re probably afraid that a warm environment will lead to the spreading of our illnesses.

Is bitterness even contagious?”

See? Real. And before you think you’ll drown in Angst Ocean, Cosmo makes sure you’ll laugh too, because every journey in life is peppered with humor. For instance, when Bella somehow finds herself sharing her tale to the group, she blurts out a whole lot of…

“I used to be normal.

… Now, it’s walking down the street and trying not to hurl pebbles I find on the sidewalk at happy couples that hold hands and kiss while they walk past me. Now, I’m bitter and find that I don’t want to watch a romantic comedy. I want to watch Fatal Attraction and wonder why I don’t have the balls to be like Glen Close in that movie. Ironic, I know. Except that I’d never do that to a bunny. I’m against it…you know…animal cruelty and all that. Like…I’m really fucking against it.”

Solstice is not only realistic and funny, but what I love most is that hope pours off the page. Edward, another attendee of the group, is slightly farther along in his journey. Over after-group coffee, he and Bella slowly become friends and then…there’s something more. A spark. Perhaps even a light at the end of the heartbreak tunnel…but it’s small steps, and Edward is no magic pill. Cosmo keeps the budding romance firmly planted in reality; a reality that’s complete with pulling away at the wrong moments, embarrassing bursts of tears, awesomely awkward phone messages, but, ultimately, hope for a future that might not always be stained with heartbreak.

With its shorter chapters, Solstice is a quick, yet thought-provoking read. Plus, it’s nearly complete! So, run to read this precious gem of a story that turns something as ugly and painful as divorce into a beautiful journey of self-discovery and hope.
