See anything you recognize there? See something that instantly after you read it your dragged back to bouncing excitedly in your chair because your favorite two characters are having “that MOMENT”? See some that you don’t recognize but are intrigued to know where they came from?

Well let me put it this way, if you don’t know them.. you should. Not only for the fact that they are some of my favorite lines in fic history but also because half of those come from the fic Madame Fictionator asked me to guest review. The fic that I grab my pom poms out for and cheer so FREAKIN loudly it isn’t funny.

How to put into words a story that I can’t even put into images. Yes, I frequently make Tonya new pretties to pimp out this fic because nothing I ever find just seems to completely encompass every little bit of Answering Bell.

Answering Bell has so many little parts that as a whole make it something thoroughly reread able and quotable. One of those stories you read and when gushing to a fellow Twific fan you quote random lines to and instantly they know what your talking about, or want to know more.

So let’s take it apart JUST a little.

First we have Bella and her son Jake and their relationship. How has this big move and change in parental status affected him? His happiness is paramount and constantly affects the way Bella runs her own life, much like every other mother out there. The interactions between Jake and his Mom are funny and sweet (based on Tonya’s own relationship with her little bb) and completely realistic.

Then we could talk of the friends that Bella makes in Perky Pants McGee, the Dimpled Brick Wall and their partners. How Alice, in true Alice fashion helps to bring Bella out of her Awkward Turtle shell and rejoin the world where the friends she makes aren’t just by marital association. Or the heartache that exists for both of our main characters. Bella with her recent marriage breakup and heartache of being cheated on. Edward with the tragic loss of his father and having to both support and take care of the parent left behind. Both of our lead characters have scars from their past, hurts that only each other appear to have the balm to heal.

And I couldn’t not talk about Seth. One of the most loved side characters in Answering Bell. The little boy with the heartbreaking past. The Cullen’s have taken him into their home and their hearts.. and I have the slightest suspicion that it may become more permanent than just in a “Big Brother/Little Brother” role in Seth’s future.

The Music, The Music, The Music. If the Ryan Adams title didn’t pull you in, then the score of other fantastic quotes will (she had me at Ben Lee.. but hey, I’m from the land down under.. he’s mah boy). Music is another way that our favorite ABward and ABella connect. The songs they sing to each other, the lyrics that wind their way effortlessly throughout each chapter, meanings that convey more than just what the original artist intended them too.

Ilsuocantante takes us all on a journey of love, life and laughter. She’ll kill me for saying so, (and she’ll kill me for throwing her quotes amongst those of Ninapolitan, JandCo and Antiaol but hey, I’m her head cheerleader and Madam Fic gave me leeway to shout it from the rooftops so

) but the laughs are there in this one. The inner monologue of Edward will have you in fits of giggles! Let alone his mother and her ideas on picnics and just why Edward needs to take Bella on one.

If your looking for something to warm the cockles of your heart, to give your stomach a chuckle work out and bring the odd tear or two to your eye.. run.. don’t walk to Answering Bell. Tell her the Head Cheerleader sent you.. tryouts for the ABward Cheer Team are over on her thread

imdominating says: When ilsuocantante worried that her story may not have any major heartfail planned, I beamed. I understand miscommunication happens, but I love stories that bring Bella and Edward together to heal instead of dancing around misunderstandings. These two have both suffered: Bella was in a stifling marriage that ended in cheating (his, not hers) and Edward lost his father and gave up on school to care for his mother. You can’t help rooting for both of them from the start. Bella is strong and smart and FUNNY. Edward is…kind of perfect. He is a Big Brother, T-Ball coach and musician. Yes and please. I can’t lie. He’s one of my very favorites. I defy you to not fall in love with the two boys, Jake and Seth. The Bella/Jake interaction is just very real. And because it’s real, it’s sweet and funny. Edward’s care for his Little Brother Seth has all of us swooning and shopping for bassinets, let’s be honest. Although I love all these characters, if I had to choose, I’d say Esme makes this story for me. She’s not the delicate background flower you often see. She’s sassy and fantastic. Bella and Edward have both heart-breaking and ridiculously funny conversations with her. She’s made me snort more than once. Answering Bell is a really entertaining love story with great dialogue that will make you cry a little and laugh a lot – and definitely squirm in your chair. Did I forget to mention the body shots?

MF’er says: My goodness, I’m bowing at the feet of these two girls for their awesome reviews of AB. I am new to the fic (what else is new!!) but I’ve spent the whole week reading it and whining when my husband interrupted me in the middle of it. Tonya completely kicked my ass with both her Tattward and Love through Lemons (which was the WINNER, btw) contest entries and I couldn’t wait to start reading AB. Bella comes to Seattle after a nasty breakup from her childhood sweetheart with her young son, Jake. In the process of trying to get back on her feet she meets a beautiful stranger in the grocery store when she has trouble holding on to her fruit *snicker* and the sweet fruit wrangler becomes someone she realizes she needs in her life… and he feels the same. These two together are funny, sweet and completely hot. I think both Cass and Jenny did a beautiful job of giving you an idea of what’s in store for our favorite characters, so please listen and go read it if you haven’t already.
