Q&A with ObsessingOverEdward:

If you got more than one prompt – why did you choose the prompt you did?
I did receive three prompts but I chose the one that I did because I could visualize some hot kitchen lovin’ *points to self* PERV. Also, after writing a sweet, understanding Edward in HOFY, I wanted to try my hand at Dickward and see if I could pull it off.
Was this prompt out of your comfort zone as a writer? How so?
The only thing that made this awkward is I *HATE* to cook, so it was a stretch for me to write anything remotely close to descriptive cooking scenes. Honestly, it’s always out of my comfort zone to write anything, just because you put yourself out there and worry how it will be received.

What was your favorite passage that you wrote in the fic?
Hehe! Probably the Italian. I think Edward that speaks any type of foreign language is HAWT! The next would be when Bella pushes him off her honey sticks and he ground them into the ground like the schmuck that he’s being.

Did you know the person you were writing this for prior to receiving the prompt?
Nope, I didn’t know her but it was fun to read her reviews after it was posted. If you did know them – did their likes and dislikes influence the plot choices you made? How so? If you did not know them did you just write the fic the way you wanted to or did you make any effort to get to know them? Nope, I didn’t make an effort to get to know her because I can’t keep a secret and would have blown it! hehe

How long did this take to write? Did you write it at the same time as your other fic(s) or did you put them on hold in order to finish this? Has this influenced your other fics at all?
I was just finishing up HOFY when I started writing it. It took me about 3 weeks because things were crazy with HOFY finishing. Writing this fic helped me to prepare for my next fic which has a pretty colorful Edward compared to Honeyward.

Why did you choose the prompts you gave the author who wrote your fic? Were these ideas you had for yourself or just fics you wanted to see written?
Meh…I liked this prompt the best out of the three. No hidden agenda.

Would you do it again?
Um…It was fun and yes, I would probably do it again. With that being said, it was also a huge challenge writing it with another story going. I would only do it again if it won’t mess up my posting schedule on whatever story I’m working on at the time.

Kassiah says: I love OOE. I love HOFY. I love SOTB. So I knew that I would read her contribution to the Gift Exchange, and when I saw the banner *fans self*, I knew I would not be disappointed. Boy, was I not disappointed.

OOE wrote a wonderful story, full of character, sexy italian (seriously, ::swoon::), and fuckhotness in general. There is even a mention of, um, honeysticks Edward is a restaurant reviewer for Gourmet magazine and Bella is the owner of the new Molto Bella. Their first meetings are anything but sunshine and daisies; however, you can’t fight fate with these two.

I really liked this story; it was funny and the characters were well-developed for such a short story. OOE brought the UST that we are used to and definitely delivered when it was time for the smexin’. If you want a hot, fluffy story, give Molto Bella a try.

The best thing about the gift exchange is that these fics are satisfying and yet not a huge investment of your time. I have not read Holding Out For You because of the time investment (I will read it, I swear), but this was a great way for me to become acquainted with ObessingOverEdward’s writing which I found to be very enjoyable and fun to read.

This is a great fic to snuggle up to on a cold day when you want a little bit of hot and spicy fanfiction to warm you up.
