Official Description: AH-AU What if Edward reacted violently while saving Bella that night at Port Angeles? Can Edward and Bella find themselves and love while Edward is incarcerated?

Don’t miss Extra Visitation, a series of O/S written for the Support Stacie auction to accompany Visitation.

AmeryMarie says: The story description threw me off and for months, I skipped over it. Finally, when I couldn’t find anything else to read, I said, fuck it. I didn’t regret it. It had me from hello (lame, I know). From line one I was sucked into the story and became invested in this Bella and Edward.

My heart ached for all the shit hands that Edward was dealt in life, but I am astounded and impressed by the fact that he never allowed himself to become a product of his circumstances. A lesser person would have been crushed under all of it, allowed themselves to sink down in the mire, but not Detentionward. Despite it all, he perseveres and strives for something more than what he has been forced to endure… and let me tell you, he has endured more than any seventeen year old should have to. More than anyone should have to really.

I felt like a proud mother when Bella refused to let anyone, not even her father, force her to abandon the boy who saved her life and in doing so gave up his. Admittedly, his life wasn’t that great, but it was still better than being locked up in a juvenile detention center with a bunch of truly bad seeds. Had he just walked away, at least he still would have had his freedom. Unlike others, Bella never judged him for the shit that he couldn’t control—being a foster kid, his past, his parents, etc.—none of it mattered t her, she judged him strictly on his own merits, and Edward truly is an impossibly good person.

Bella went to incredible lengths just to be able to visit Edward in the detention center he was in—forging her father’s signature, lying, skipping school. The day that she finally gets to see him in juvie was, to me that cataclysmic moment where, whether they were aware of it or not, they were all in, game over, they were it for each other. They each give the other a reason to live, to slog through all the shit they have had to go through, will go through. You get the feeling that so long as they know that they have each other, they will make it through anything, and they never quit fighting for each other.

In the end, it’s a story about hope, and faith and persevering even in the face of adversity and… yes, it’s about love. I could say so much more about this story, but I have probably said too much as is. Go check it out for yourself and leave her some love. This fic is still in progress and I have no clue where radiofreeamy is going to take it, but I can’t wait to see. Read it.

Kassiah says: AmeryMarie hit the nail on the head with her review of this one. This story is amazing and RadioFreeAmy doesn’t get the recognition she deserves–at all. I really love this story; it is quite different from most fics out there.

I agree that the description is vague. At first, I thought this was a vamp fic. There is some mature subject matter in this story, but there is a warning at the beginning of that chapter. This is without a doubt not your typical high-school fic, and I am a little worried about the impending angst. This story is awesome, glittery unicorn stickers and all. Definitely give Visitation a shot!
