There is one absolute truth about Touchstone67 – she is firmly on Team Jasper. I think her love for Jasper completely shines through this fic, in every word he speaks, every motion he makes – you can see this character is the embodiment of all of best characteristics we know about canon Jasper. He is deep, rich and vibrant. She also manages to make Jasper the central character, while surrounding him with equally as bright and intriguing characters. In order to make Jasper shine, Touchstone67 knows that she doesn’t have to make those around him lackluster, in fact the supporting cast only serves to make Jasper more lovable. As you all know, outside of slash I’m a canon girl, but the way Touchstone67 has been able to set up the eventual love between Bella and Jasper, I’m sold. Again, she knows that she doesn’t need to make Edward a raging asshole to sell the depth of Jasper’s feelings or emotions, she has poured her heart out on the page and the reader therefore be able to grasp onto that feeling and translate it into hoping that Jasper finds a way to come to terms with his feelings and admit them.

RedVelvetHeaven says: The Queen of the banner graphics has broken out and begun her own chapter story; featuring of course, none other than her favorite character…’Jasper’! Before I get into the story, I have to say that so far this is the best non-canon/canon-like Jasper I have ever read. The rawness and real way that she expresses his emotions and experiences leaves you feeling as if you have just intensely experienced them yourself.

Safe and Sound is a story about friendship and discovery. Jasper moves from Texas to Forks at a very formidable age. An age where what you leave behind might be just as difficult to overcome as being the new kid and trying to start over. This is where Edward comes in. A new friendship, one as intense as the one Jasper had to leave behind. I love the way Touchstone conveys this closeness. Add Alice and Bella to this mixture and things start to stir. The relationships between them all are so real and so well written. I don’t want to give away any more of the storyline because Touchstone has a beautiful way of unfolding the many layers of this story little by little and letting you experience it from her, first hand, is the only way to do that justice.

I absolutely love this story and I’m so excited about where I feel it’s going. It’s written beautifully and the storyline is original and intriguing. So give it a read. Even if you only ship E/B, you should give it a shot. Come with an open mind! It’s truly worth it
