Summary: When fate brings a jaded young doctor to the small town of Forks, he expects nothing out of his stay but a shot at redemption. Little does he know that a new patient and a mysterious young woman will turn his exile into the experience of a lifetime.
He kissed her forehead, drinking in the sweet taste and smell of her.
He’d started calling her that one morning, much to her surprise. She liked it, though, her eyes were always shining and her telltale blush when he called her that.
He couldn’t resist kissing her whenever she looked like that, and seeing that there were no obstacles in his way, that was just what he did; a deep groan rumbling through his chest as his tongue caressed hers, his hands bunching up the silky fabric of her blouse at the small of her back while her hands tugged at the small hairs at the base of his neck.
“I have to go.” Her eyes were sad and her voice breathless as she pulled away. “He can wake up any minute now and if I’m not there…”

Summary: Sometimes when your life is all going downhill, the only place left to go is up. What if that place isn’t exactly where Bella thinks? Perhaps, a more heavenly destination instead? A story about life, love and redemption.
“Hi baby, don’t you look beautiful.” Taking my hand, he spun me once in a circle admiring the summery knee length dress as it floated around me when I twirled. Alice had picked the dress out especially for the occasion, saying I needed to look the part of the doctor’s wife I’d one day become.
“Thanks, Alice said it was the perfect shade of pale blue to accent your suit and my skin tone.”
Nuzzling my neck he replied, “Mmm that it does. I wish we could skip the whole thing and go back to bed.” His hand fingered the thin strap on my shoulder, teasing me about what we could both be doing instead of hanging out with half the town.
I slapped his hand away playfully, reminding him that we could always sneak out early and maybe check out the progress of our house being built.
“I never knew making love to you in the great outdoors would be the start of such an obsession for you Ms. Swan.”
Rolling my eyes playfully at him, I had no retort. It was true. Ever since the first night we’d had sex under the stars, I loved the feel of the cool breeze as it blew over my naked skin. I adored feeling wild and free, especially knowing there wasn’t a soul around for miles.

Summary: Gang life, handcuffs, and bars keep them apart, but as they say, love overcomes all things. Or does it? As Tori’s life unravels, she must decide if love is enough to heal the damage James left in his wake. A novella written by Jadsmama.
James’ arms clench around Hunter, pulling him into his chest. I can see his breathing has picked up by the way his chest is rising and falling at a quicker pace. He keeps his head down, staring at our son and moving his lips with unspoken words.
Tears effortlessly fall from my eyes as I watch him bond with Hunter. I always knew when this moment came it would be breathtaking, but I had no idea just how powerful it would be. I watch on, wondering if James’ awe-stuck expression is the same one I had when I first laid eyes on Hunter.
He’s most beautiful creature I have ever seen.
He looks over at me with glassy eyes; his emotions are evident, threatening to spill out. My heart shatters watching him fight to keep his emotions in check, but I know this isn’t the place to expose any weaknesses.
“Thank you,” he says, his gratitude and pride for our son fully evident.

Summary: Isabella Swan is certain notorious pirate, Edward Cullen, murdered her father and stole his prized cutlass. Out for revenge, she sneaks onto his ship, but Captain Cullen claims she has the wrong man. A tale of the search for truth…and treasure of course.
She held his gaze, but he didn’t look away. In the distance, Bella could hear the plaintive tones of a fiddle player tuning his strings.
“Who’s that?” she asked as the notes formed into a lively melody, quickly accented by a flute and the rumbling beat of a bodhran.
Edward tipped his head, a slow smile lighting his face. “The men like to play when there’s an opportunity. Sadly, there’s not been much opportunity of late.” He stood, not releasing her hand. “Tell me, Smith, do ye dance?” He thickened his accent to lighten the mood, and Bella couldn’t help smiling in return.
“Aye, Captain,” she shot back, mimicking him as she stood up and let him pull her around the table. “That does sound like a good bit ‘o fun.”
He laughed. “Are ye mocking me, wench?”
Her eyes twinkled and Edward twirled her under his arm before catching her around the waist. She squeaked out a laugh and he started to lead her shuffling around the small room, dodging the table and chairs as the music played merrily around them. Bella tried to keep up, her heartbeat quickening as much from his proximity as the dancing. The pensive Edward from a few moments ago had vanished, replaced by the rakish charmer she knew could be devastating to any woman within reach.
And she was definitely within reach.
He spun her around, dipping her over his arm with a cheeky grin. Bella’s fingers tightened around his, her other hand gripping his shoulder tightly as her stomach dropped. She gasped, and his gaze flickered to her lips, his smile falling. Slowly, he lifted her to her feet, his arm firm and strong around her waist.
“The music stopped,” she whispered.

“Hey,” a voice behind me said.
“Shit!” I bobbled the bottle in my hands, nearly dropping it. “Stop doing that to me.”
“Sorry,” he mumbled sleepily.
I was momentarily stunned by his appearance. He was naked from the waist up – wearing only dark grey sweatpants. He had the body of an athlete. His toned chest glistened in the light, and I struggled to read the words on his tattooed right arm. His eyes were dark, as if he hadn’t slept all night.
“Are you okay?” I asked.
“Yeah.” He stepped around me, opening the fridge and pulling out a water. “Just can’t sleep much in storms.”
“Join the club.”
He leaned his back against the counter, eyeing me curiously before grinning.
“What?” I asked.
He shook his head, quietly chuckling before taking another drink.
“What’s so funny?”
“Nothing… really,” he said. “Sorry.” He put the cap back on his bottle, setting it down on the counter before crossing his arms.
I drank more of my juice, wondering if he was thinking that this was a deja-vu moment like I was.
He cleared his throat. “I was wondering if you wanted to get out of the house a few days a week. We could use some help down at the gym.”
That explains his body.
“Like a workout gym?”
He shook his head. “No, a boxing gym.”
“Oh!” I said, curious if he fought, too. “Are you a boxer?”
He shrugged his shoulders.
“I used to fight.”
“Did you get hurt or something?”
“No. Actually, I never lost a fight.”
“Wow! That’s … you must be really good.”
He smiled. “So I’ve been told.”
Was he flirting with me?
I blushed at the thought, but quickly dismissed the innuendo.
“Why don’t you fight anymore?” I asked. “I mean… clearly you’re in shape for it.”
His grin widened. “You think I look good, Bella?”
Okay, he was definitely flirting, and I was only digging myself deeper with every statement.
“I …. umm…,” I mumbled before giggling softly, feeling like an idiot.
“Rose hated it. And she didn’t want me fighting after we had Grace.”
“Oh.” His answer kind of shocked me. “So, you just stopped?”
“Yup.” He uncrossed his arms, resting them on the counter behind him. His bare muscles flexed, distracting me yet again.
Did he ask me something else?
“Is that a yes to the job, or do I need to place an ad in the paper?”
After yesterday, the thought of being closer to him in any capacity was exciting to me. I’d be a fool not to take the job. Plus, it would help ease the loneliness that I felt when I was here by myself. This would also bide me some time until I could figure out a way to get into school, and I’d earn my own money. Jasper wouldn’t have to feel obligated anymore.
“Sure. I’d love to.”

Summary: Dear Diary-First day at a new school! I hope this one turns out better than the last one. Just one more year to get through, what could go wrong?
We passed out when we got back to the hotel. I did make good on my promise though, I woke Edward up in the middle of the night with what he said and I quote “best blow job ever”. I am so glad I could make my man as happy as he made me. Worth every minute of sleeplessness minute we had that night.
I knew we were getting close to crossing that final line of losing our virginity. We hadn’t talked about it awhile, I knew how Edward felt. He was ready to go once I was in a good place. I was so in a good place, I was ready. I just didn’t want to tell him just yet, I wanted it to be special but not cliche. How in the world was I going to do that?
The next morning, I figured we would both wake up cranky because of the lack of sleep. Nope, not at all. I had a smile the size of Ellis Island, knowing I was going to give up my virginity to the person I truly loved and soon. The sweet part was he had no idea, I wanted to surprise him. I knew if I mentioned it he might over analyze with his head while his dick would be trying to break free. Boys were so silly.

Summary: “Let Love In” series, story 2. Ness decides to go away to college before her best friend Jacob can imprint. But when Jacob finds out she’s leaving for Seattle he can no longer keep his secret. Finding out the truth is just the beginning.
Jacob’s hand cupping my face surprises me. I expected him to answer Jared, but instead he speaks directly to me when our eyes meet. “Jared reminded me of something we still need to talk about.”
“What?” I don’t bother asking aloud, knowing the thought is so strong and simple he’ll receive the message.
Jacob lowers his head, his mouth brushing my ear as he whispers for me, “He asked about an update on you leaving for school.”
“Oh,” I sigh, realizing we haven’t broached that topic yet. I was too afraid to, and now that I’ve spent a day with him, I’m no longer certain what I’m going to do. Maybe I can just stay here and make out with him every day for the rest of my life.

Summary: Bella and Mike wed four years ago and their marriage hasn’t exactly been the picture of bliss. A carefully guarded secret surfaces, destroying an already fragile Bella. Everything she knew was a lie, everything she wanted for her life, wiped out with the click of a mouse. An E x B story. Warning: There is mention of past sexual assault, crappy childhoods, an even crappier marriage, and some very prevalent social issues (that I’m not going to mention here, because it would defeat the purpose of reading the story).
“Screw you, Emmett, you’re not the one—” Bella’s words were cut short by the arrival of Mr. and Mrs. Newton.
I stood and straightened my shirt. “Carole, Stephen,” I greeted.
“Charlie, is he…” Carole was already crumbling. She clung to her husband for support.
“He’s in surgery,” I said, reaching out and touching her arm.
Bella appeared by my side. “He was assaulted at the store. He has a lot of injuries and internal bleeding; that’s what they’re trying to fix right now. They mentioned some swelling in the in brain due to his injuries, but they don’t seem as concerned about that. The doctor said the bleeding was the priority. Dad’s got a few men at the store, investigating.” She sounded so put together when she spoke, and that scared me a little.
“Why the hell are you here? You left him,” Stephen spat. I was tempted to punch him in the face, but I figured that whatever Bella was sitting on was likely far more deadly than anything physical I could dole out.
“Stephen, don’t start,” Carole warned. I respected the hell out of this woman. The look she gave could bring the devil to his knees.
“No, Carole, she’s the reason my son is on a goddamn operating table right now.”
“You’re right, I probably am. But maybe, just maybe, if your son felt safe talking to you, neither one of us would be here. You can stand there, point your finger in my face, and I’ll gladly take whatever blame I’m due. But you need to shoulder some of that, too. If he wasn’t so goddamn afraid of what his parents and the community thought of him, I’d be happily married to someone else rather than going through a divorce at thirty years old. You’d have a happy son, who might be in a committed relationship, and neither one of us would be in a hospital wondering if he’s going to be okay.” She exhaled when she finished and wiped the rapidly falling tears from her face.
I looked at Stephen and he looked defeated. I was right. The blow to his ego was worse than the one that would have landed on his jaw.

Summary: Edward Masen is a talented but struggling actor. Bella Swan is a successful but bashful Hollywood publicist. When sparks fly on a Sci-Fi thriller movie set, Bella finds herself putting out fires and straddling something bigger than headlines. AU/AH/OOC.
Alice’s trailer door was open when he walked by so Jasper knocked on it.
“It’s me,” he announced as he stepped into her wonder-world of fabrics and odd looking machines that appeared as though they could have also made a cup of coffee. “I hope you like mocha.” He set the extra cup he had purchased on a table that looked more like the workbench in his grandfather’s garage.
Alice danced into the room eying first the coffee, then the man. “You’re sweet, thank you. I love mocha.”
“I almost got you an iced mocha.” He shook his cup and it clattered. “But, I wasn’t sure.”
“This is great.”
“But if you had your choice?” Jasper’s eyes were joyful but no less intense.
“I like iced a little better too, since you asked.”
“Good to know.” He took a sip of his. “I’m going to find a few people, but we should be set up in the NASA auditorium in another hour.”
“I’ve been over there already,” she told him. “They’re working on lighting already.”
“Oh, great. Did you hang out with Bella last night?”
“Actually, she and Edward made plans together.”
Jasper cocked his head to one side in slight surprise. “Really?”
That morning, Edward had arrived to the set on time, as always, and Jasper had taken his quiet, brooding contemplation as a sign that maybe things with Esme were proving to be as complicated as they rightly should have been. Jasper wasn’t entirely proud of himself, but he had gloated inwardly at Edward’s somber mood. Nevertheless, it now appeared as though he was under the wrong impression.
“So…Edward was out with Bella last night? Just the two of them?” Jasper was in need of clarification of the facts.
Alice nodded her head. To her, that was exactly what they had all hoped for. She hadn’t read into Edward’s chivalry on set the day before like Jasper had, but then again she hadn’t heard Esme’s declarations…like Jasper had.
Jasper took a long thoughtful sip of his iced mocha, wondering if his phone call to Bella had been the reason for Edward’s unusual lack of enthusiasm. But since he also thought Edward was playing the field with both woman, he spent more of his time worrying about how Bella was faring.
Bella had promised to call him back to set up a meeting, but the call had never come. It was one thing if his phone call had interfered with Edward’s evening, but it was never Jasper’s intention to cause harm to Bella. She had been through the ringer during the production of his movie and he felt somewhat responsible for her well-being. Jasper made a mental note to call her that evening to see if she was all right.
In Alice’s mind, Edward Masen’s social life didn’t seem like anything to dwell on further so she changed the subject. Jasper took his cue but he was feeling more confused than ever. There was one thing he was sure of, however, as he watched Alice’s lips move with delicious determination.

Summary: Bella Swan is an aspiring sports writer and her first big assignment is to interview the league’s biggest, not to mention hottest, quarterback. Will Edward Cullen school her in the rules of the game or will she teach him a thing or two? Rated M.
“So, today’s the big day. You find out if it’s Edward Junior or Edwina.” Em started screwing one end of the wood into another. Seriously, what were we doing?
“Yes. Except that won’t be their names.” I would ever do that to my kid.
“There’s nothing wrong with Edward Junior. I kind of like the idea of you having a Junior so I can call him that when he asks me for Megan’s hand.”
I rolled my eyes and tried to focus on the directions. Tab A, Slat B…what was this shit? “My kid is not marrying yours.”
“I beg to differ. My daughter is going to be a Cullen, mark my words.”
“Because you could never be?” Jasper poked him with one of the sticks, or whatever in the hell you called them.
“I won’t dignify that with a comment. Where’s the wrenchy thing?”
That was it. “Nobody who calls it a wrenchy thing is going to build my kid’s crib. I’m rich. I’m paying someone to do this shit.”
“Damn right,” Jasper agreed. That was what he’d done. “And why in the hell are you marrying your daughter off to his kid, which may be a girl, when you know I’m having a boy?” he demanded.
Emmett sat back and stared at him. “First of all, he’s having a boy. I already know it. Second of all, your kid is either going to be shorter than Megan or scare her with his spidery limbs that take after yours. And his brillo pad hair would injure her. No, she’s marrying a Cullen. I’m working on my dowry right now.”
Christ. “Dowry? What year is this?”
“You better watch out. He’ll probably give you camels or something,” Jasper warned me.
He wasn’t kidding. I didn’t want whatever in the hell Emmett deemed as a payment for taking his daughter off his hands. “I could be having a girl.” I pictured a cute little girl with Bella’s hair and her beautiful brown eyes. I couldn’t wait to meet my little one, boy or girl.

Summary: The lies we tell ourselves end up hurting us the most. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. In the end, no one is innocent.
Tanya, Angela, and I were at Victoria’s house by seven that evening. Victoria was all smiles and hugs when she answered the door, ushering us up to her room where Maria sat on her bed waiting for us. My fear of any lingering awkwardness between us girls vanished as Maria pulled out a bottle of Jack Daniels and offered everyone a drink. We took turns taking sips from the bottle as we got ready.
“Oh!” Victoria yanked the bottle from her mouth, spilling some on her shirt. “Shit! Now I’m all wet.” She giggled. “Fuck it. Anyway, I almost forgot to tell you! Rose is going to be at James’ house later.”
The information surprised me. I hadn’t talked to Rosalie since the day she met up with us at the mall. I’d really enjoyed spending time with her and the other girls, convinced we’d get to know each other better because our boyfriends were best friends. When Edward and I broke up, I’d thought that was the end of our possible budding friendship. It seemed, though, that might not be the case.
“Oh, yeah?” Tanya bent closer to the mirror to inspect her lipstick. “I’d have thought she’d be with Emmett. Girl is stuck so far up his ass, it’s not funny.”
“Well, I don’t know anything about that.” Victoria smiled and passed the bottle to Angela. “I talked to her in chemistry today, and she was talking about being bored tonight, because she refused to hang out another night with Emmett, Edward, and one of his sluts. When I mentioned my plans, she asked if it’d be okay if she showed up. I didn’t think anyone would mind, though.”
“No, it’s cool,” I blurted out.

I see the door open and Seth and Leah run to Bella, both jumping up on the bed to hug her.
“Bella are you okay, are you coming home?” They both give her pleading eyes as they ask unison.
Bella looks sad suddenly, almost broken as she shakes her head. “Sorry,” it comes out in a choked sob.
“Seth, Leah, come over here and sit please.” They both turn and look at me, and get off the bed. They both sit in the seats that I am pointing too. “Bella loves you both very much, but she’s not well right now. Carlisle says she needs to stay here for a couple of days. But you two can stay with Zafrina, or Esme and Carlisle, anyone you want to stay with. Then when Bella is released from the hospital, you both will be with her at my house.”
They both smile at me. “Can we stay with you Edward?” Leah asks, and this time I am on the receiving end of their pleading looks.
I chuckle and nod my head. “If you’d like I’d very much like you to stay with me.”
“Thank you,” they both say as they get up and hug me. I hug them back and kiss Leah’s head and tussle Seth’s hair. I face Bella who is looking right at us and I give her a smile and she returns it mouthing ‘thank you, I love you’ to me.
I walk over to her and kiss her forehead. “Anytime Baby, and I love you too.”
We all sit chatting and making plans. I can see that even though both Zafrina and Esme have put on strong fronts, they’re trying hard to keep themselves together. They both leave with Seth and Leah; they’re going over to pack up bag for each Bella, Leah, and Seth. Esme is then taking Seth and Leah to my place with each of their bags and two for Bella. They are doing two bags for Bella, because I asked them to. One is for here the hospital, which I will bring in tomorrow and the other for her to stay at my house. I plan to keep them there with me, for as long as I can.
“Thank you for watching them. Are you sure it will be okay? I don’t want you getting into any trouble for me.”
I kiss her lips again smiling glad that they took her off the monitor. “Baby, I want to look after them. I won’t get into any trouble. We are going to make an action plan so don’t worry. Just get better so I can get you home and tucked up into our bed where you belong.” She smiles and leans into kiss me, licking my lip. I smile as I kiss her back, pleased that she is trying to lead things between us too.

Summary: A story of unlikely friends, a story of family, a search for truth and a search of self. “She’s everyone else’s Isabella, but she’s only my Bella.” “I write a poem about a boy and girl who fall in love in the eye of a tornado.” AH E/B V/J
Melted snowflake water comes in with me under my shoes and I stomp it away on the doormat. The warmth of their house makes me shiver the cold away. I smell some kind of meat cooking, like teriyaki, and probably rice, too, which always reminds me of the smell of paper.
James thinks I’m staying for dinner, but I’m not.
“Can we go to your room for a second?”
I wave at his mom on the way to his room. Inside he asks if I want to light up.
“No. I want to talk.”
He takes a deep breath and rubs his chin. I understand why. He can hear the tone of my voice as clear as anything. With a hand he offers me a seat on his bed. I decline. So we’re both standing and waiting — him waiting for something he can probably sense is off, me waiting for the right words and for the strength to get them out.
“I have someone I want you to meet.” I hold my guitar toward her. “Isabella, this is Senna.”
She touches the base of it. “Hello, we’ve met.”
“No, she’s met you, but you haven’t met her yet.”
I start playing, strum a few random chords, and then start the song. I haven’t forgotten a thing in all these months of music abandonment. Isabella recognizes the song after just a few chords.
“Let it Be,” she says.
“My mother’s favorite.” I keep playing as we talk.
“It’s an easy song. Only four chords.”
“Thanks.” I smile at her. She‘s all green looking from the cast of the tarp.
I laugh, falter a little, and get back to it. “I don’t sing. Just listen.”
“But you can sing. You’re physically able.”
“Don’t know the lyrics.”
She stops her insisting then and leans her head back on the edge of the couch, exposing the arch of her throat, and finally just listens, eyes closed.
As I play my mother’s favorite song to Isabella, I drift easily through memories. After that first time I played outside her door, the next time I heard her crying, I played inside the room, lights out, and over time, I gradually moved closer until I was on the floor by her bed, before making it onto the bed. Eventually all it would take to get her to stop crying would be me entering the room, guitar in hand, and she’d go for hers. Seated, facing each other on the bed, we played together, becoming shadows together, neither of us moving to switch on a light as the night grew on. She’d start a song and I’d follow, or I’d start one and she’d follow, and it would be all music and never any talking. Never me asking why she cried, never her offering answers. Finger-strumming together was all it was, mother and son together. And now, never again.

Here we go. That took all of twenty-seven seconds.
“What do you want to know?”

“Okay, okay relax.” I pause, unsure how to pour my heart out to my mom without sounding like a lovesick fool…meh…if the shoe fits. “She was the one, Mom. THE one that drove me crazy during high school and college…the girl from the Flanders.”
“NOOO!” My mom gasps realizing she’s just been dished the world’s juiciest piece of gossip.

Summary: A fortunate encounter while wandering the city may lead Edward to realize that, perhaps, not everything is lost. But is he ready? AH, ExB.
“It’s show-time, Dad. Good luck.” I kiss his cheek and he pretty much forgets about me when he sees Sue.
She looks even more beautiful than before, with her make-up and hair done and a pretty smile, but most of all, she looks utterly happy and that gives her a glow that compares to nothing else. Seth stands next to her and I want to laugh at the way he walks towards us, like he’s the center of attention. He even waves at a couple of relatives.
We’ve all turned to watch them walk towards us, except for one person: Edward. I know he’s looking at me just by feeling that familiar tingle on my skin.
I turn and like I thought, his eyes are on me. He winks, making me smile; he’s teasing, but there’s something more as well. There is a glint in his eyes that I haven’t seen before today; it makes his green eyes look so bright and big. He looks sort of eager and so very happy, almost like there is a secret he wants to share and he can’t wait for it.
All of a sudden, something flashes across his face, his eyes get even brighter and even his smile morphs, becoming bigger. He looks certain about something and I can’t wait to ask him about what.
It becomes harder to focus on anything else after that, he looks just so damn different and thank God the wedding is not that long, because I was sure I might miss something important if I kept staring at Edward.

“Love you, too,” I replied before disconnecting. I whipped my shirt off and turned around to head to the shower and found about twenty pairs of disbelieving eyes on me. “What?” I demanded. Seriously, what the fuck was with them?
“Did Edward Cullen just say he loved a girl?” Eric’s eyes were bulging right out of his head.
Fucking hell. God damn it. I got so wrapped up in her, each and every time, that I fucking forgot where I was and just how many ears I had around me.
“Don’t you worry about what I said, Yorkie. You worry about how you’re going to get away from Claiborne.” He was a bad ass corner for LSU and would likely be draped all over Eric for the whole game.
Eric fucking smirked at me. “I never thought I’d see the day that Cullen was pussy whipped by a band geek.”
I had him pinned to the locker before he finished his sentence. Around us, there were gasps and shouts but I tuned it out and focused on him. “If you ever fucking call my girl a geek, or even talk about her again, I’ll break your face.”
He went a little pale but his eyes darted to the people gathered around us and he licked his lips. “Hey, I didn’t say she wasn’t a hot geek. When you’re done with her…” that was as far as he got before my fist plowed into his nose. It gave a satisfying crunching sound and blood spurted while he screamed and threw his hands over his face.

Summary: She’ll lie and steal and cheat, and beg you from her knees. She’ll make you think she means it this time, tearing a hole in you. But I still love her. I don’t really care. A story from iambeagle and VampiresHaveLaws.
“When do you go back to school?” she asks out of the blue, quickly changing the subject.
Holding back a groan, I reply, “Mid-August.” And then, “I’m not really looking forward to it.”
“No?” she questions, looking at one of the pictures amidst the clutter on the door before reaching inside the fridge to grab the milk. “Do you have some overbearing girlfriend waiting for you or something?”
I finish the last of my juice and feel my brows crease. “I don’t have a girlfriend,” I tell her, not sure what to make of her question. “You think I’d be hanging out with you this much if I did?”
She sits across from me, shrugging. “Yeah, why not?”

Summary: A virgin. An escort. A contract signed. But falling in love wasn’t part of the agreement… AH, E&B
He walked ahead of her as they neared the swing-set, then turned and backed slowly toward it, facing her. “So a guy who fights for what he wants is still sexy, then?”
Dear God. Bella wished she could pull out her phone and capture the way he was grinning down at her – the very picture of “sexy.” His big blue-green eyes were so sure and yet questioning at the same time that she wanted to throw herself on him and cover him with kisses until any trace of uncertainty had vanished.
“The sexiest,” she answered without hesitation.
His face relaxed into a cocky grin. “Too bad there are no dragons standing between us and these swings, then. I’d have you swooning by the time I cleared the way for us to sit on them.”
Dear. GOD. She really was nearly praying this time, for strength. And continued consciousness. Because if anyone could actually make her swoon, it was the smirk-a-licious man smirking down at her right now.
“Well, in the absence of any monsters standing between us, I’m afraid you’ll have to impress me some other way,” she challenged, edging closer to him, lifting her chin.
Sweet Jesus. It was Edward’s turn to appeal to a higher power. He’d thrown down the gauntlet, but she’d picked it up and tossed it right back at him. And that, to him, was the sexiest thing in the world.
He drew closer to her, his head dropping, one hand reaching around to the small of her back, the other closing gently around her chin. Their eyes locked, lips parted, breath caught. The longing between them was palpable. . .irresistible.
Which was exactly why Edward chose to resist it. When Bella’s eyes fluttered closed in preparation for his kiss, he spoke instead.
“Then I’ll just have to see how far I can push you,” he murmured, his lips brushing lightly against hers as he formed the words.
Her eyes fluttered back open, then narrowed in confusion.
“On the swings,” Edward clarified, giving her an angelic smile instead of a kiss.
With Herculean effort, he freed her from his embrace, took a step back and lifted one arm toward the swing-set behind them in invitation.
“Ladies first,” he insisted sweetly.
Bella’s mouth dropped open in disbelief before pressing closed in a bemused scowl. The self-satisfied smirk on Edward’s face now had a very different effect on her than it had a moment ago. She wished she had longer fingernails so she could scratch it off.
“You think you’re cute, don’t you?” she demanded, irritated that he was, in fact, annoyingly adorable at that moment.
“It doesn’t matter what I think. I’m only interested in your thoughts on the matter.”

Summary: Love, exciting and new. Come Aboard. We’re expecting you. Love, life’s sweetest reward. Let it flow, it floats back to you. Best friends, a childhood crush, a free cruise, and a ship full of swingers.
“Are you going snorkeling with Bella, Edward?” Alice asked.
“Actually, I have to stay on the ship. I need to get some work done and I need to call into a meeting.”
“What do you do?” I asked before I realized it wasn’t something a wife wouldn’t already know and I palmed my forehead at the faux pas.
Edward rubbed my back and leaned in to whisper, “Relax Bella, I don’t think anyone heard. And even if they did, it’s not like they’re going to make us walk the plank.”
“No, but they can kick us off this boat. When you get kicked off a cruise ship, they send a helicopter to fly you back to Florida, and then they bill you for the flight. And you’re left to figure out how to get home. They don’t even take you back to the port you left from,” I said quietly into his shoulder.
“Cool, I’ve always wanted a ride in a helicopter,” Edward teased, trying to relieve my anxiety.
I turned slightly so I could see his face and gave him a small smile, silently thanking him.
“It’ll be fine,” he said, kissing the tip of my nose.
I nodded, and his retuning smile made my heart skip a beat.
Jasper started humming the theme to The Love Boat again, and I groaned in protest.
“You know Japer, this isn’t the love boat; The Love Boat was on Princess Cruise Lines.”
“Oh, I beg to differ. This is better than the Love Boat, it’s the Group-love Boat!”
“Nice,” Edward said, leaning over to give Jasper a high five. Alice giggled, and I just shook my head, trying not to smile because I knew it would only encourage him.

Summary: After her mother’s tragic death, Bella moves back to Forks. It’s there she reconnects with her father and forms a bond with the town’s recluse. Is she the one who can mend his broken heart? Or will he hurt her over his fear of falling in love again? AH, OOC Drama/Romance B & E
“What is your problem?” I ask through clenched teeth in a voice etched with anger.
He casts me a knowing glare and the icy gleam in his eyes makes me feel about two feet tall. “What is my problem? I’m not the one with the problem, you are! Do you have a habit of spying on people? Do you get a thrill out of it? Perhaps I should disclose to the Chief how his daughter disobeys the law by peeping into others-”
“Excuse me? How… are you… kidding me? I wasn’t spying on you that night, I was uh,” I’m flustered and pissed off at myself over how stupid I’m behaving and sounding.
“Yes, spying! That’s when a person watches someone without their knowledge-”
“I know, I’m not stupid! I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it…”
Dammit, why am I allowing this grumpy asshole to get underneath my skin? I pulled out of my stupor and notice a livid expression creased on his face as his greens blaze in fury. I’m seriously confused! What did I do to make this man dislike me so much?
Uh, let’s recap, shall we? He caught you spying on him, then he helped you out of a sticky situation with a semi creepy classmate. How do you expect the guy to react?
“Look I helped you, so I’ve done my good deed for the day. Now if you excuse me, I would like to return to my shopping. Oh and a word of advice Isabella, stay the hell out of trouble.” he said the last few words in such a frigid tone, it made me shudder.
Apparently he didn’t frighten me enough because I grabbed the back of his arm, ceasing him in place. He then spun around and threw me a furious glare.
“Take your hand off me!”
“No.” I murmur, swallowing hard and struggling with putting on a brave face.
He chuckles in a dark tone, shakes his head and takes a step, closing the gap between us. He angles his face so near mine, I feel his warm breath blowing against my skin. My heart thunders roughly against my chest as his eyes linger deeply on mine.
“Listen carefully, because I will only say this once. Stay away from me. Don’t spy on me, or try to talk to me again. And most of all, don’t even bother trying to be my friend. I don’t want one and never will.”
Before I had the chance to process his appalling, cruel words, he stalks off and leaves me frozen in place with my mouth hanging open. A light blanket of wetness covers my eyes and I blink, willing them away.
I can’t believe that just happened! I never felt so humiliated, idiotic and slightly frightened in my entire life. What could have happened to make him be so bitter, so cold, and hate the world?
Despite his warning, I’m determined to uncover more about him.
I just hope my heart doesn’t get burned in the process…

Summary: Two years ago and only days before he’d planned to propose, Army linguist Edward Cullen left his girlfriend Bella Swan to join the family business which provides intelligence for the US government. A freak accident causes Bella, now a successful reporter, to be valuable to the organization, and Edward has been assigned to train her to use her new ability. How do you work with the love of your life after you’ve broken her heart and your own?
Carlisle Cullen was an attractive man. He reminded me of another Cullen that I’d once met. It didn’t seem like a common name but I didn’t really want to know if this man was related to the infamous Edward Cullen. The Cullen clan had to just share good Scottish genetics. I wondered if all of Scotland was inherently beautiful. His picture was the one I’d seen in Dr. Banner’s office.
“Miss Swan.” He smiled and shook my hand. He had a fatherly presence about him but I refused to believe that this gorgeous man had anyone calling him ‘daddy’ at home. It would have ruined my preconceived notion of what he should be like.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Cullen,” I said.
“Would you be terribly offended if we went straight to the point of my visit?” he asked.
“Of course not. I understand that you’re a busy man, besides I have quite a bit of reading to catch up on.” I smiled warmly and held up the novel that Angela brought by earlier in the day. “I’m told that I won’t be doing much else until they can stop monitoring me.” I indicated the EEG leads attached to my head.
“That’s part of what I want to discuss with you. Did Dr. Banner inform you of my profession by chance?” he asked cautiously.
“I can’t say that he did. All I know is that you’re an expert on the kind of seizures that I’ve been having,” I said and dog-eared a page of the book in my lap.
He grimaced. “They’re not really seizures in the strictest sense of the term. Your brain is entering a theta wave state, which is enabling your consciousness to detach from your body.”
“My consciousness is doing what?” I asked, confused.
