Don't Miss This

Wolfpack Wednesday RecommendationDid you check out our latest Wolfpack Wednesday recommendation? Don’t miss Written in the Wind by Openhome.

FicBreakDid you catch our latest book review? You’ll want to read Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver for sure! Plus, we’re giving away a copy!

What We're Reading

Songster: Just read the update for Prism by Anna Faze. OMG, this is such an interesting, different AU. These are not your happy, fluffy Cullens; they are good guys, but definitely have a dangerous dark edge. Soooo good.

Just started a new AU by Raum, An Italian Winter. Edward’s angry at his family and on a mission of revenge when he crosses paths with Bella. I’m really enjoying this.

Kassiah: @songster, I really like An Italian Winter, too (though I’m a little behind on the updates lol)

LJSummers: Reading When Darkness Falls by La Vita Nuova, which is a really different Paul/Bella fic. Lots of dark sensuality. I’m liking it. Still reading Wicked Blood by Eila, which is getting even more intense as Edward tries to avoid a “final confrontation” with Bella to “take care of her.” I highly recommend this fic for a new take on Twilight.

MJinAspen: I’m reading Genesis by Nyddi. It’s an Edward/Bella, Romance/Supernatural “drabble” fic–27 chapters in, posting daily, making me break my no “drabble” fic rule–wherein Edward has black angel wings, and there’s something about “hot, destructive sex.” *dustcloud* ETA: Okay… it’s a little rough (mentions of rape) and kind of gore-y–still reading, though. It’s definitely different. (More) ETA: the ANs are annoying, but I’m overly-sensitive to that.

@LJ I’m reading When Darkness Falls, as well :)

Kassiah: @MJ, Genesis sounds really interesting–I’ll hafta check it out when it’s complete.

This week, The Breakers completed, and I really love that story. Oh yeah! And Turning Tables, too. robbbbbbb so good. Also, I wrote up a rec, proclaiming my undying love for Under These Lights over on Indie Fic Pimp this week. You can check that out here.

I can’t remember if I mentioned that there was an outtake for Written in the Stars early this week. I always want more of tailward *grin*

Songster: Crap, I forgot about the tailward update. I blame Edward and all his ages.

MJinAspen: @Kassiah it is interesting, very different, and I kinda love Eduardus. Hahaha. He’s irreverent and snarky and AN ARCH ANGEL. We’ve only seen one BPOV, though, so don’t know a lot about her, although, what we know is pretty okay. She’s still kind of sekrit-ish character, I think.

Katinki: Have had several wonderful updates over the last few days! Prism’s update was UH-mazing. The tension, the mood, the… gahhhh. And tkegl is KILLING me with Pirateward. It’s awesome fun to read.

MJinAspen: @Katinki: goddamn it, I need to start reading Prism.

Katinki: @MJ: I watched you type that and it totally freaked me out.

Caren: I spent my week reading Cotton Creek by rtgirl… she also wrote Just A Kiss. And if you haven’t read either of them. DO IT NOW.

Songster: Still in fail due to Age of Edward wrap-up this week. There are some wonderful entries, winners, banners etc. Go check them out. I did, however, read the Glimmer Darkly update. And Holy Shizz. Instead of a glimmer, I’m seeing neon flashing lights saying DANGER AHEAD!!! Stay away from sparkly things with red eyes. Wow.

I’m also reading Diana Gabaldon’s Echo in the Bone and I’m really liking this one. Lots of different and new POV’s, but still enough Jamie and Claire to make me happy. The war has begun and I fear our hero is in for a bumpy ride.

Guilty secret confession time: For my night-time reading, I’m doing a fic rewind and reading some Subella and Domward in Tarasueme’s The Submissive. Such a good and steamy story.

Kassiah: I’m all for diving back in to the classics and I think a little domward in my life is just what I need. :)

Thanks to everyone who gives us support, sends in their recs, and just generally makes our lives in the fandom more entertaining. We couldn’t do this without all of you.
See you next week!!
