LJSummers: In my never-ending quest to find hot wolf fics, I found one that has enthralled me. Featuring an older Bella (twenty-one years) and the rest of the usual cast aged as well (well, those who can age, anyway…) The Ties that Bind Us by jusobele is an imprint story that is steaming up my windows. It’s a WIP as I type this, and I’m still reading what she’s got up so far, but yowza! Also still reading Origins by missrebecca. She gave us a surprising preview of her Carlisle that has me bug-eyed!

MJinAspen: I read a slash one-shot this weekend that made me cry. (Not like me crying at fic is totally unheard of, but I don’t really read a lot of slash.) It’s Edward/Carlisle AH with a BDSM scene, but it’s not all about the BDSM. Home is by dirtybrat and it’s really an emotional journey for Edward more than anything. If you’ve read a lot of Douchewards being healed overnight by the magic vagina/cock and are kind of yawning over that premise, try this one. It’s much more realistic. And I CRIED.

LJSummers: @MJ – I am looking for AU (i.e. vamp only) Carlward fics. If you have any specific recs, I’d love to know. (I have no idea why this has suddenly hit me in the face, but it has.)

Caren: I finished the sequel to Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini last night (Dreamless) and I loved it!!! I fell so so hard for the original novel, and in a time when I haven’t read many books at all lately, this one was definitely one that stuck with me. I’m so glad it did. Now I need book three!!!

Kassiah: I still need to read them, but I feel like I should wait–so many trilogies going on. I finally read High Fidelity, and ohmygod. The way this girl writes. Just utterly amazing. I’m worried about impending angst, but it’s so beautiful. I can’t stop.

Caren: @Kassiah: I love love love that story!!!

Songster: @Kassiah. IKR, she is brilliant and I think we may have to hold each other’s hands to get through it.

In other ficly news, caught up with Blind Spot by FictionFreak95 recent update has this interesting pair in N’awlin’s. Things are getting mighty interesting. Also, the recent update of The Keepsake by windchymes was a sweet and perfect first time for these two. *sighs*

I’m flying through books at the moment so I haven’t read as much fic as normal. I’ve finished re-reading A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness and raced through Shadow of Night by the same author. I love these books and am now sighing because I will have to wait a year or two for the last book in the trilogy. I am half-way through Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor, really enjoying it so far.

@LJ: have you read For a Season by giselle-lx? It’s fabulous.

In other news, I’ve also just caught up with Through the Window by lifelesslyndsey. This is Sam/Bella and is now winding down. It’s a really unique imprint story.

MsKathy: Silver Lining is still pwning me. Sadly, I haven’t had any time to dive in to much else. I hope you all had a fabulous week.
