What We're Reading

Katinki: I’m sad that Carpe Aestatem is almost over. It’s been such a fun story to read. Very different in terms of plot, genre, and style from what you normally see in Twific. Chapter 9 just posted, so only one left!

MJinAspen: I read Righteous and Wicked this weekend and am picking Bella Swan: Kidnapper back up today.

Songster: @katinki I must read Carpe Aestatem. It sounds very interesting and different. However, I am currently inundated with Age of Edward entries. There are some wonderful entries.

I’m still following various WitFit stories like Proud, Winter Song, Just a Kiss and Take What You Want. They are all wonderful for various reasons. The fic that I’m currently in love with is The Keepsake by windchymes. It makes me smile and sit on the edge of my seat whenever I get an update.

Katinki: @songster carpe is a novella and it reads like one, so it won’t take you that long at all. it’s totally fun.

This was posted today (V-day) and it’s just lovely: Alive Again by Annalund. It’s not a fic per se, but I think many of us will see a lot of ourselves in it. Touching and sweet and heartening. For me, it kind of captures what the fandom is all about and why we all stick around here. Quick, couple of minute read and definitely worth it.

Songster: Primarycolors posted the first half of the last chapter of Firefly in Summer with only the last half and a short epi to go. I have so loved this fic despite some very heavy angst in the middle. I flail regularly when I see it update.

@katinki *sobs* But no kidding, that piece by Annalund was just wonderful and totally reminded me of all the good to be found in this community. It’s what I will focus on when the nasties hit the interwebz again.

LJSummers: A Forest Fire updated and I am really enjoying how Bedelia is getting Bella grown up. Her Austin character is a sweetie but I know that when she gets Jasper and Bella together, it’ll be fabulous. Our own MsK’s The Trip Home 2 updated, too! I am just loving this story! The polyamorous family is just the sweetest group and MsKathy writes them so well!

Kassiah: This week, I’ve been totally overwhelmed but I still got a chance to read The Princess and the E by CLWN, which I l♥ve. I also couldn’t get enough of Ned and Stella in An Undefined Affair.

Thanks to everyone who gives us support, sends in their recs, and just generally makes our lives in the fandom more entertaining. We couldn’t do this without all of you.
See you next week!!
