Did you check out our latest Wednesdays with Teeth recommendation? Don’t miss Nothing’s Gonna Change My World by belladonna1472.
Did you catch our latest book review? You’ll want to read Incarnate by Jodi Meadows for sure! There’s still time to enter the giveaway!

Songster: I am yet again kind of in fic fail. I have been plowing through Game of Thrones (on the 5th book). Who knew I would be enchanted by a dwarf? Also re-reading A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness in anticipation of reading the 2nd book, Shadow of Night. I cannot wait.
That being said, I’m still captivated by High Fidelity by iReenH. It scares me a little, but the writing is mesmerizing and this Bella is incredible. My Mate by PrincessRachael continues to surprise me and is such an interesting take on the vampire mate bond.
Kassiah:My friend loves A Discovery of Witches and told me I have to read
LJSummers: I’ve been reading My Wounded Soldier by counselor, along with half the fandom. If you’re in the “other half” – go read it now! The prose is perfect for the time, the author’s phrasing wonderful and the characterizations captivating. I’m also reading Origins by missrebecca. This is a Bella/Jasper story but this Bella? Not one I’ve seen before! Mystery shrouds her and I look forward to the gradual unveiling.
As far as books go, I’ve been rediscovering The Pendragon Cycle by Stephen R. Lawhead. If you are into Arthurian legends and Celtic mythos, combined with some really intriguing interpretations, I highly recommend this series. Currently, I am enthralled with Merlin. It’s my favorite book of the Cycle. He has golden eyes and is apparently immortal. Sound familiar?
@Songster: Tyrion? He’s a one, isn’t he?
Songster: @LJ He is bar-none my favorite character in that series. He has so many impediments, but has an amazing intelligence and inherent kindness despite his Lannister training.
Ok, I might flail little here. Just caught up with the latest update of Love in Idleness by plummy. If you are not reading this, get over there and dew eet. It has a very original plot involving Shakespeare, game theory, a fairy named Mote, and the sweetest love story. It has a Geniusward who is completely swoonworthy, a bit younger than Bella, and this is a bit of problem for our heroine as the story starts out in high school. Gah. I love, love, love it.
MJinAspen: Last night I started reading That Pain To Miss by HelenaJay. I just started chapter 6, so I haven’t seen Edward yet, but I do like the premise of this AU. Jasper is very relatable, yet still very canon. Still reading Genesis, because it’s never-ending. It’s still insane, but it’s making more sense now. I can’t stop reading!
@songster I’ve had Love In Idleness on my TBR for weeks. Do you know how long until it’s complete? I usually try to wait for fics to be complete, but I swear it’s hard to wait for that one!
Songster: @mj No clue but plummy finishes her stuff so I’m not worried. It really is amazing. Also I love That Pain to Miss, a very strong Bella, which always makes me happy.
MsKathy: Still digging The Silver Lining by kimpy0464. They give me hope in ways I need it.
Also really, really loving The Girl Who Cried Wolf by chele681. It’s Angela/Leah femmeslash,
and so far we’ve had two chapters of Angela’s POV and one from Leah. There aren’t any sexy times yet, but I’m loving the way Chele is building the backstory and foundation of their relationship.
Caren: I am digging We Are Young by MyLifeandHis (@SingleStrand). I have a soft spot for a little Nerdward. It updates every day, and that’s not often enough!! She’s got me looking forward to every day.
I’m also still loving Brighter by Rochelle_Allison and Blind Spot by FictionFreak95!
And, can we please discuss the How to Paint a House update this week? Because IT WAS EPIC. And if you’re not reading it, I’m disappointed. To quote a friend: ‘this story is what butterflies are made of.’ It makes me feel all the things!!!
Songster: @caren I am waiting for that one to finish. I am awful with angst. But I’m adoring the other two.
Kassiah:I’m scared to read HtPaH. I still remember this gif:

from way back in the day. You let me know when it’s safe lol
MJinAspen: @mskathy YES! How could I forget about The Girl Who Cried Wolf?! LOVES. Chele’s words are so beautiful and lyrical. I really love Angela’s voice. And the scene between Leah and Jacob was the best Leah and Jacob scene I’ve read in a long time. Can’t WAIT for her to call Angela!
@songster I’m not really worried about Plummy not completing it, I’m sure she will, I just try to wait for fics to be done so I’m not reading several WIPs at once. Glad it’s worth it, though. I’m really looking forward to it.
Songster: This is totally freaking me out watching all the typing going on. @mj I know what you mean about WIPs. I only read ones from trusted writers these days.
Katinki: I’m total fail in my fic reading this week. I have about 20 new ones on my short term TBR list as well as updates I’ve not touched yet, but RL keeps giving me fits. Though *waves* at anyone in Austin, Tx – I like your town.
@MJ, I love HelenahJay’s stuff. Have you read Giving Way to Dusk? It’s wonderful, too!
@Songster: Shadow of Night (aka Discovery of Witches) isn’t bad. I have some issues with her series in general (namely the blatant Twilight parallels and the too convenient appearances of her gifts), but if you liked the first book, you’ll probably like the second.
Kassiah:sobsobsob, Kate! I was in the same state as you and didn’t know it
I have been pretty fic-fail. All kinds of fail actually. This week, I went to TLA in Houston and got lots of new books so I’m really excited about that. I did manage to catch the Sideline Collision update and read The Sky is Everywhere finally. OMG SOOOO amazing! I can’t believe I waited so long for Joe Fontaine. Also, I watched Hunger Games for the third time. Yes, I know. It’s a sickness. But I can’t help it. I love this boy too much.

I’m having a huge party when the DVD is released and you should all come. Hubs is gonna dress up like Seneca Crane.
See you next week!!

I do use C2s on FFn. I subscribe to a couple, and check several more regularly. it’s an easy way to find new stories to read by specific type, without having to wade thru all the ones I know I won’t like.
You know, I’ve tried them, but I’ve been unsuccessful finding one I can trust/like. Are y’all contemplating launching one featuring your recs? You should!!
We have one but haven’t updated it in a thousand years lol I would be willing to do it if I thought ya’ll would want it, but if no one (except me) would use it, then … ♥
I love A Dance with Dragons by George RR Martin! I was so engrossed with it the whole time I was reading it. I just couldn’t stop reading though it was midnight already. LOL.
